Dark dorsal stripe/s unique to individuals.
Head shape is a mix of Lynx and Oriental Shorthair cat. Variations of muzzle length and width are common.
Distinctive marking on forehead (the diamond and inner markings). Any other facial markings are specific to the individual.
Large ears with dark tufts on tips.
Longer, fluffier fur (a ruff) on back of neck from lower ears to shoulder blades. Length and fluffiness varies per individual.
Distinctive tail marking. 3 rings on end, number and size of crescents are unique to individuals.
Coat markings range from "ticked" to "marbled". Younger Maulosa tend to have paler markings, not uncommon to continue into adulthood.
Coat, paw pad, eye and nose colours vary.
Common for upper canines jut out from sides of mouth. Length can vary but not into extremes.
Fur lengths and tail lengths and widths vary across the species.
